wabdr day 3

We had to make some distance south so we hit the road, next to the locals.

We stated on the most northern section of the wabdr and it slowly took us south to Concully where we hit pavement and made some serious southerly distance.

There were only a few vista areas so it was a bit uninteresting.

Some cool stuff occasionally.

Coming out of the mountains and hitting tarmac.

Entering Grand Coolee dam area.

Dam!

after Grand Coolee dam we followed the very long Banks lake, it was hot all along the drive and when we saw the lake we just wanted to jump in it right away!
The rock formation behind is Steamboat rock

We were cruising along not sure where we were going to stay, we had a look at some campgrounds but that was ugly, we kept going and I spotted a couple of RV's along the lake, we pulled in and noticed that it was a "public fishing" location, camping allowed, and free! We set up at the end of a man made peninsula.

Did I say it was hot already?  Park it and go swimming, then  a shower to rinse off.

No fires allowed but we had a very busy day of travelling and being tourists so we crashed early.
