sloquet two

I once camped at this spot, its an old log dump.

Artsy attempt.

We passed many car remains along the way, this road is not vehicle friendly!

What! another creek crossing!

After 60 km's we reach the north end of Harrison lake, a small abandoned logging camp called Tippella.

This is the air strip, it looks a little unusable with the encroaching foliage, I've landed many times here on mountain checks, now we just overfly it

After another fifteen km's we reach our destination.

And went for a little walk, shrooms are now in season.

On the way up the last rough hill, the roof switch fell off its normal perch and landed just right to have two of the jack motors start to lift, so it jammed up and I burnt out one of the motors, usually I carry a spare, but not this time @#*&!! Had to do a little McGivering to lift the top.

That Saterday night we went down to the springs and had a great time, with a halloween party in the springs, with jack o lanters, string lights and dozens of tea lights all over the place creating an awesome atmosphere, just a great night, sorry no good pics!

Next morning we got up around ten, no hurry to get up cause it was just dumping rain, had the morning usuals, then strolled down for a soak!

As you approach the Sloquet river the steam from many vents creates a foggy damp environment. But not sulfery smelling!

In the light of day, all cleaned up from last night's shindig.

This spring is a natural spring, some man made rock dams creating shallow pools with different temperatures,,, bliss!!
