This trip we decided to do a little adventure, a trip deep into the mountains to try to check off an item on my bucket list, the plan was to leave after work Friday, stay at a rec site overnight around Merritt and leave for the lake Saterday morning.
This is where we woke up!
Got up slowly, to see our surroundings.

This is the start of climbing up to over six thousand feet in elevation gain.

We stopped for a break at a little rec site, no sitting on the table!
And start out on another forestry road that continues to get worse all the way.

For sure some great views as we climb.
This is where we zigged where we should have zagged, we got sorted out and continued along, I was using GPS so we never got lost, which is a concern as there are roads that head off all over the place!
And finally get our first glimpe of Cabin Lake!!
Made it, cross this off the list!
