Salt spring fling

Catching up on some trips, we went to Salt Spring in May long weekend, oddly enough we got a ferry reservation even though i booked late.

When we arrived at the cabin we saw the daffadils in bloom, very late up here this year.

We drove the civic this time instead of the truck, surprised again how little the foliage grew this year, Im not complaining, just saying.

Les caught this little lady in the woods.

Took the usual walk in burgoyne bay.

Was a rough year for trees this year, many have been toppled.

While we were at the point we heard a funny noise in the bay, and noticed a pod of killer whales fishing in the Samsun narrows, at one point they got pretty close, but by the time we had the camera ready they were gone.

We also went to our favorite spot at the lake, the weather was good and over all a very relaxing time.
