I managed to get myself to lake Diefenbaker, a man made reservoir, a big one, and tried a few back roads, this one got alot worse but eventually led to a nice spot.The bugs were bad so I left looking for another camp spot and came upon the dam.
I think these are the flow control dohickies to control the amount of water going to the turbines.
