Into Ontario we go, and anyone that doesnt know,that ontario is huge, it takes the same amount of time to go thru Ontario as the rest of Canada. With that said, I planned on getting near the lake of the woods area for the night, I had talked to a fellow in Portage, and he said try to stay at Rushing River NP, so with the sun going down, I made it there just in time for them to say "we are full" I asked if I could stay in their parking lot and they said yes but would cost me $32.00. So i said thank you and got the hell outa there. I kept driving, looking for a boondock area, and thats when I saw some wild life. Lots of dear, and a young black bear. I kept rollin along and eventually came to a rest area. I decided to stay here the night as it was an awesome place. Right on the lake, one other guy at the far end in a tent and motor bike. The place was ideal, so here we stayed.
Next Day I decided to take a pic of the semi black eye I got when I was in Riding mountain. I got it when I was pulling out my air hose to inflate my bike tires, it was coming out OK then it snagged on something and I didnt stop pulling in time , and as it was a coiled springy type of hose, it released and smacked me near my eye. It got a little blacker after a while. And also, while I was at a rest stop in Manitoba, I was getting some water inside for Mako, and on my way to the steps with a full bowl of water, I stepped on a bottle that had rolled out next to the steps, and the next thing I knew I was outside the camper on my ass. Some of the injuries were 1- elbow cut up. 2-right leg scraped by the top of the door. 3- sore ass from riding down the stairs on it. 4- ego damaged beyon repair. Wet from having the water bowl flung all over the place and obviously empty. And , yes I just woke up.
Drove for a while longer heading to Thunder Bay , and stopped at another great rest area for a little reading break.
