first trip

Well, here it is ready to go for the long weekend, I was going like crazy until around ten thirty wednesday night loading and getting ready to go, I had to battle the elements first , as the power went out on wednesday because of a storm that knocked trees down, so most of my preperation was in the dark. I did manage to get my piece of wood cut for my bed before the power went out. But everything fell into place and after leaving work early on Thursday, packing the cooler and tossing some extra stuff in to the camper I was ready to go. Got the dog in and was off.

I wanted to check my gas mileage for the trip so I topped up the tank , and off I went.
First stop was at the top of the Coquihalla highway. I always stop here on the way up, the weather isnt great, some slushy snow, go for a little dog walk on the ATV trails , then hit the road again.

Got up to the lake and Carmen and Abner were there already. I looked for a level-ish spot and set up.
