Back from our long weekend trip and its back to some serious work to get ready for my trip to Wawa. I am driving there with Mako, and on the way will visit Lucas in Thunder Bay, and thats where Les will be flying in to. I have five days to get there.
I have lots to do and just a couple of weeks to get it done. The first priority item is to get a rack on the back for my spare tire and bike, then a bunch of electrical, like an isolater to charge the house batteries, an inverter, re and re the electrical that I did half assed, install a fantastic fan, and get ready in general . In this top pic , I am measuring out the departure angle to see how far I can extend out with my rack. I am trying to keep it around 35 degrees, and it looks like I will be able to maintain that.
This lower pic is of the xantrex true sine wave inverter and the battery isolater.
I had to get my welder hat on for these jobs, but I am a shitty welder, but what can you do??
The first item is a mount to go from the truck to the rack so that it can be removed, I want to be able to remove it so that I stay under twenty feet long, so I welded a bracket with set bolts that the supports for the rack slide in to.
